Lost Cairns of the Stiperstones: guided walks & survey

Part of the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve is registered Common Land.  Join Matt Williams, of Fern Heritage and Archaeology, to explore the various squatter enclosures on the common.

Monday 23rd - starting at 10am at the Knolls car park, Matt will take a walk focussing on various squatter enclosures. You can come just for the walk and/or take part in a survey of the Tin House settlement and unrecorded features at Blakemoorgate in the afternoon (no survey experience necessary).

Tuesday 24th - Matt will lead a final walk, similar to the walk that started the programme but hopefully filling in some blanks and sharing all the new information from this programme of work.

All the project findings will be written up in a report and shared with the various relevant authorities and on our website.

Booking is essential for the walks and survey afternoon, and sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing a must. Please email Matt via info@fearnheritage.co.uk.
