The 'Visit Shropshire Hills' leaflet swap is back! Do you run a B&B, camp site or self-catering accommodation in or around the Shropshire Hills?
Join us on Thursday 17th March at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms any time between 10.30am -1.30pm to collect leaflets and literature for your visitors, and find out the latest local tourism news:
10.30 Shropshire Hills Leaflet Swapshop opens
10.50 Welcome - Nigel McDonald, Shropshire Hills Sustainable Tourism Officer will open the event on behalf of Visit Shropshire Hills, Shropshire Hills AONB & Grow Cook Learn
11.15 – 11-45 Social Media – What’s Happening? Louise Welsby, Director of Buy From Creative Agency will lead a workshop exploring current trends in social media marketing for small tourism businesses. Louise has recently been running a series of very successful webinars on behalf of the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). She’ll bring you up to date, give you some tips and pointers and explore ways Visit Shropshire Hills can support you?
11.45-12 Social Media Q&A - The session will finish with a Q&A session so you have a chance to pick Louise’s brains.
12.15 Tour of the centre and talk by Grant Wilson - Grant will take you on a tour of the Centre and bring you up to date with Grow Cook Learns plans for the summer and future
13.00 Review of Shropshire Welcomes Campaign - Nigel McDonald will take you through the successes of the current Shropshire Welcomes PR and Marketing campaign being led by Shropshire Council. Expect to be wowed.
Event closes 13.30 - The Centre’s award winning café will be open with a range of delicious refreshments and will be serving their usual lunch menu.
