Half term activity sessions

3 Forest School sessions aimed at children aged 6-11 years.  The session are being held in asemi-ancient woodland near Bucknell, which is a Forest School site.  Children will be encouraged to explore the natural environment, develop their sense of curiosity and foster new friendships.

Examples of activities will include:

  • Group games
  • Green woodworking to develop tool skills
  • Fire skills
  • Campfire cooking (freshly cooked snack will be provided every day)
  • Den/Shelter building
  • Natural crafts

As well as having these optional arranged activities, the children will be free to roam and explore our woodland site and are encouraged to have lots of self-directed free-play. 

These Forest School sessions have been supported by the AONB Conservation Fund.
