Shropshire Hills Shuttle buses

The Shuttle buses are running every weekend and Bank Holiday Monday from 7th April until 30th September 2012. They will also operate on Tuesday 5th June for the Jubilee Bank Holiday.

NEW for 2012 is the Wenlock Wanderer – a linear Shuttle ride between Much Wenlock and Church Stretton. Journey along the famed limestone escarpment of Wenlock Edge, through ancient woodland, into the folds of the Stretton hills and the Long Mynd. Stops include Acton Scott Historic Working Farm.

*Saturday 9th June – Long Mynd & Stiperstones Shuttle DIVERSION* – Stiperstones Inn, Crowsnest and Snailbeach Mine will not be served on this day. For further details click on this DIVERSION notice.

The Shuttles are 16-seater mini-buses which provide easy access into the Shropshire Hills for walking, sightseeing, pub lunches, picnics and more. For route descripton and maps, timetables and prices please click below or contact us if you would like a copy of the 2012 leaflet posted to you.

2012 Ticket Prices

Great news! Shuttle fares remain the same as last year. The Day Rover ticket allows you to use both the Long Mynd & Stiperstones Shuttle and the Wenlock Wanderer, which means you get a lot more mileage for your money.

Please purchase your ticket from the driver when boarding the bus.

DAY ROVER:

  • Adult: £7.00
  • Children under 16: £2.50
  • Family: £15.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children)
  • Travel from Shrewsbury: extra £3.00 per adult (return)
  • Single Tickets: start from £3.00

You can travel for FREE with a valid pass.

Dogs, accompanied by their owners, are allowed on the bus at the driver‘s discretion.

Wheelchair Access

The Shropshire Hills Shuttles are able to carry standard sized wheelchairs, but it is essential to book. Please contact Shropshire Council on 01743 254977 (Mon-Fri 6am-6pm and Sat 6am-2pm) or email passtrans@shropshire.gov.uk to make a wheelchair booking or for further information. A place cannot be guaranteed for you otherwise. If you have a larger than average sized wheelchair, the dimensions and weight will need to be checked to ensure it can be accommodated.
