Welsh-English Border Strategic Regeneration Programme

Offa's Dyke imageThe Welsh-English Border Strategic Regeneration Programme aims:

"To assess the opportunities to develop a more sustainable
rural economy based on the high quality natural and
cultural assets of Offa's Dyke and the surrounding landscape"

The work included countryside consultation with Local Authorities, businesses and other members of the community over a three-month period ending in June 2009.

The results are now in!  The programme compiled by Resources for Change, funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, Advantage West Midlands and Natural England, and commissioned through the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership has now been completed.

A strategic programme has been developed, which highlights a number of recommended interventions, including sustainable tourism, businesses, eco-innovation, thriving communities and natural resources.
