LEADER in the Shropshire Hills

 

LEADER is a rural development funding programme operating throughout Europe, and in this country now forms part of the government's Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).  The AONB Partnership has led a bid to deliver LEADER in the Shropshire Hills (including a wider area around the AONB).  The priority areas for LEADER in the Shropshire Hills are :

 

  - Wellbeing and access to services in local communities;

  - Participation and volunteering;

  - Community pride and care for places;

  - Training to support small businesses.

 

We are currently at the stage of developing our bid into a full LEADER strategy.  This will involve consultation and collecting ideas of potential project which could be funded through LEADER.  For further information please see the downloads below or contact us.
